Titus Andronicus’ The Monitor got a good amount of rotation when it came out a few years ago, but “The Battle of Hampton Roads” came up on shuffle today and goddamn if it didn’t strike a chord. Pour yourself a shot of bourbon on the rocks, relax, and take in the entirety of this epic song.

Kind of crazy to think that this band would eventually mature into an outfit patient enough to write a song like “So Now You Know”. They still might dedicate a little too much time to their haircuts, but The Horrors’ upcoming LP Luminous is absolutely great.
