Song of the Day

A little late with today’s post, but I thought i’d go with a classic. As I was just listening to this at home. And i’m stoked by it! This is very exciting. For the last couple of months, due to health issues, listening to music stopped being fun most of the time. The fact that it’s fun again is very liberating. Very very liberating.

Sort of teetering back into this. I remember when Uncle Tupelo played the Khyber Pass in Philly. I was underaged and didn’t go. I’d snuck into the Khyber a couple of times, but it was far from the norm. Anyhow, reports back were that I would have liked it. I’m sort of easy to gauge in that way. Here is video of their last show. Check it out.

I’ve been quiet. I apologize. my health is a plague on this house. But here is a song. Eilen Jewell has a new album coming out. Here is a single from it.

Battle Ave has a new album coming out in May.  Here is the opening track. This one took two plays to warm up to me, but it’s quite good and haunting. Happy Easter folks.

This is fantastic. The animated video, the story, the music are all perfectly apt.  Read more about it here.

I posted before from the new release of old Thee Speaking Canaries material titled Platter Base Must be Constructed of Moon Rock. When ordered, there was a bonus 7″ you could order with. Looks like they are running low on 7″s so they’ve moved to sell the 7″ separately.  Anyhow, this song from the 7″ is fantastic.
