I knew that Lou Barlow and Jay Mascis were in a hardcore band together at one point. I’d never actually heard Deep Wound though. Not bad.

I admit, I listen to a lot of music. I obviously like Oh, Rose. But I must have forgotten what they sound like. I knew I liked them as when I saw they have a new album coming out I got excited. But then I listened to this song and it was entirely not what I expected. And it’s awesome. So I guess I was expecting that.

This song brings the ethereal pretty. This new lp is out on 10″ if that interests you and your soul. Bouquet btw is one of my favorite words.
This new song from Afghan Whigs is like old dinosaur jr. meets new wave band and makes a baby. Maybe that’s how they sound these days. For some reason the Afghan Whigs existence is blurry to me.
This is good fun.
Without the Tex-Mex influence, this reminds me a bit of Calexico. Which isn’t necessarily a relevant or accurate observation. Either way the New Dog is worth a listen.
Rural Alberta Advantage has one of those sounds that makes me get all emotional and usually brings out a smile. Here is a new video of theirs.
