Yeah, i’m really liking this sort of screamo emo post-rock from Fist Benders. They had a new release out in May as well, but this song from a 2013 release was all over my brain this morning.

What? New Bikini Kill? Well, yeah basically. Bikini Kill is re-releasing their album Revolution Girl Style Now! and it will include a couple of previously unreleased songs. Ocean Song being one of them. So watch the re-release teaser and listen to Ocean Song and then pre-order the record at bikinikill.com.
Matt Picks a Jim Song
First off, I’m not counting Jim’s Butthole Surfers post because it wouldn’t be fair to the rest of the bands this week. Needless to say, you should revisit them when you get the chance. I’ll give my post of the week to Places to Hide, in all of their NFAP glory. Said to see such a good band call it quits.
Jim Picks a Matt Song
Jim’s pick will be a bit tardy this week, check back to see what he has to say!
LP Highlight – Beach House’s “Depression Cherry”
Maybe you heard Beach House had a new album coming out this week? Matt gave too many of his thoughts on the matter here.
International Radio Shower
The International Radio Shower will return next week. We took a break for the holiday weekend.

Irish shoe gazers Tuath with a non-album track. They are new to me and I really like this. No time for a rabbit hole today, but here is a track for yinz.
From Places to Hide in Atlanta.
I was listening to this this morning. Such a great album.
I concede i’m a huge Air Waves fan. I posted the previous single for their long awaited upcoming release (due out in September). Here is a video for the song Fantasy. The lp can be pre-ordered via Western Vinyl.
I was saddened by the Ovlov break up. But it seemed inevitable. And some members have re-formed as Stove. Check it out. It’s really good. This has quite the Dinosaur, Jr. vibe. Stereogum has more on Stove here.
We had a special guest, Thomas Watkiss, playing live from the studio. He also brought in some 7″ vinyl from Drone Records. Here is the playlist.
