Love this new song from the Thermals. Nice guitar licks. I couldn’t embed this other video, but check it out. A little surprised to see Jessica Boudreaux on guitar. Is that permanent? Either way, The Thermals are finally making their way to Pittsburgh on April 24th. I’ve been waiting a long time.

On Wednesday, I mentioned a show on Tuesday that you probably missed involving math rock bands. I had not heard local Pittsburgh act High Deaf before. They are quite good and worthy of a closer look. Enjoy.

A little bit psychedelic. A little bit weird. Quite good. From the state of Maine. This entire album is catchy as hell. Enjoy!

I need to get this stuff in before bands play. But I noticed that Jitters was playing Spirit last night. And I couldn’t go and didn’t discover it until later yesterday. So, here is what you missed. Feel that regret and soak it up with a sigh.

I like scream-o, often. But certainly not always. Daitro hails from Lyon, France and coming to us via Adagio 830 in Berlin. It’s good stuff. Similar to blog favorite ConspiraciĆ³n Autista, but just a bit less raw. In other words, this is really good.

Well hello there. Long time no see. Posting may continue to be sporadic as we rearrange things a bit on the blog, but I really wanted to share this one. Sound of Ceres is the duo behind underrated shoegazers Candy Claws, along with some help with their friends from Apples in Stereo and The Drums. Their debut, Nostalgia for Infinity, comes out in early March via Joyful Noise.

Good morning. Sorry for the hibernation there. We’re making some changes here and on the air. You can hear Matt’s radio show, Sundays from 2 to 4pm. And we’re going to be expanding coverage here on the blog again soon. For now, here is a song that I cannot stop loving.
